Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren | 4.5 Star Book Review

Summary
One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away

Review:
**May contain a teeny tiny spoiler**

I went into Sweet Filthy Boy with an open mind. I didn't even read the blurb before starting it.
Sweet Filthy Boy was a fantastic read. A heroine with Daddy issues, but yet was lost and drifting in her life. A hero who outwardly had it all, but inwardly had his own struggles.
Sweet Filthy Boy is hot. Seriously hot. Not just the normal romance sex scenes. We have naughtiness in this book....and costumes. I love a good role play.
I really did wonder what the solution to the big problem would be, and I think the authors came out with a brilliant one. I had a huge grin on my face during the dance scene. I'm sure my imagination didn't do it justice.
Something I don't always see in books and I did find in this one is that the hero and heroine make each other better. They lift each other up. The story isn't wrapped up in chemistry or pregnancy. They make each other think about the future and help each other through it. Even while they are both ignoring the present, they seem to still think about their future. Relationships should be about making each other better and I love this aspect of the book.
Honestly, Sweet Filthy Boy gets 4 1/2 stars from me, but there isn't that option here on Goodreads. I save 5 stars for something with an amazing twist that I just didn't see coming. Fantastic job ladies. This is a great read.

Bio / Social Media
Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
