Man of My Dreams by Faith Andrews | Author Interview & Giveaway

MAN OF MY DREAMS Synopsis:

Mia Murphy may be married to the man of her dreams. But the man in her dreams is the one that got away—her high school crush.

Mia’s stuck in a rut, just like every other stay-at-home mom, and the only thing saving her from her monotonous routine is her perfect husband, Declan. He’s gorgeous, he adores her, and the man stole her heart with his sexy singing voice. Mia feels like the luckiest girl in the world, until she discovers that Mr. Perfect is not Mr. Faithful. Mia is devastated. Everything she once believed about Declan and their marriage is now covered in a big cloud of doubt and regret. On impulse, she kicks the cheating bastard out, pushing them into a separation that could mean the end of the picture-perfect couple.

But when Mia receives an invitation to her high school reunion, she finds herself abandoning the present for the oh-so alluring pull of the past. Although her heart still belongs to her husband, inescapable thoughts of her crush, Noah, resurface. And ten years later, Noah isn’t afraid to make his move. When the build-up of fantasies and ‘what ifs' comes to a head, sparks fly and it’s Mia’s turn to question if her marriage is everything she wants out of life. Searching for answers, Mia dives head first into dating Noah, falling further away from her husband and closer to her old flame.

But Declan’s not giving up so easily. Mia is his one and only and he’s not about to let another man win her heart.

KEEP ME Synopsis:
Sexy, tatted up, underwear model Marcus Grayson is every girl’s dream—or more likely worst nightmare. He’s a player, a self-proclaimed bachelor for life, and he’s got no problem living up to his man-whore status. But when his older sister’s friend comes back from the past, he may just have the chance to turn some of his adolescent fantasies into reality.

Tessa Bradley is a self-sufficient, take-no-bull, single mother—well, now she is. Finally rid of her abusive, alcoholic ex, she’s making a new life for herself and catching up with old friends; the ones she was forced to break ties with because of her controlling husband. When she runs into Marcus, her friend Riley’s once-adorable turned smoking-hot little brother, she has no idea how he’s about to rock her world.

Author Interview:
Are you more of an introvert or extrovert?
Since I started writing, I’ve definitely become more of an introvert. Every free second alone feels like it could be spent writing something down, promoting a book, or reading a new best seller. But in life, I am definitely an extrovert. I love my friends and family and like to surround myself with them as much as I can. Sunday dinners, big birthday parties and holiday gatherings, couples night out with our huge group of friends, and playdates with all our kids all the time. Dave Matthews says it best, “Turns out not where, but who you’re with that really matters.”

Do you have a book boyfriend and if so, who is it?
Geez, how do I choose one? And can he be one of my own characters? All kidding aside, I think my favorite book boyfriend would have to be either Will from Colleen Hoover’s Slammed series, or Travis Maddox from Jamie McGuire’s Beautiful Disaster. The two are polar opposites, so it’s clear to see my taste is all over the place (have I mentioned the big time love affair I want to have with Rax Rathbone from Kendall Grey’s Noctures?). While I love a bad boy alpha, I also love the sweet talking romantic who will put the girl he loves before anything and everything.

Favorite drink while working?
Coffee during the day and red wine at night.

Cliffhangers or no cliffhangers? (do you like to use them)
I hate cliffhangers even though some of the best books I’ve ever read contain them, but you’ll probably never get one from me. I’m a firm believer in happily ever afters.

Music/TV or Silence? What are you listening to while your write?
Music definitely inspires me and actually can help set the mood or tone for an entire scene, but I have to write in silence—well as much as I’m allowed to get. My kids are 8 and 4 so there is very rarely a quiet moment in this house. And when they’re in school, the dog is usually making a racket or scratching at my leg for something. So, while I’d love some peace and quiet, I could probably write with an entire marching band parading through my house.

What is your guiltiest pleasure? No judging here on Chapter Break.
Oh God, there are definitely a lot, but if I had to pick one it’s my smutty reads.

What is the best best advice you ever received?
You only live once. I’ve heard it from many people before, but it wasn’t until this year that I really started to believe it. I’ve checked a lot of things off my bucket list in the last few years and while I’m definitely not a carefree youngster anymore, age is what you make of it. I feel more alive in my thirties than I ever have before.

What is one thing you do better at than most?
Multitask! As a stay at home mom, wife, writer, dance mom, daughter, sister, friend . . . the list goes on and on. I find that I work best under pressure (even if I have mini, okay major, freak-outs when I’m stressed), but if there is anything I can do, it’s juggle multiple things at a time.

What is one thing that you do worse at than most?
Practice what I preach. I’m a great advice slinger, but I never seem to heed my own words of wisdom. I guess it’s easier when you’re on the outside of the situation to evaluate the pros and cons and rights and wrongs. But it’s always been hard for me to just let things roll off my back . . . but I’m working on it.
